Ford Mexico Appoints New Manufacturing Leader

Ford Mexico announced that Eduardo Villegas, who previously served as manager of the Hermosillo Assembly and Stamping Plant, will serve as the new director of manufacturing in the country.
The executive, who has more than 40 years of experience with the blue oval company, will oversee operations at industrial sites located in the State of Mexico, Chihuahua, Sonora, and Guanajuato.
His leadership role at the Hermosillo complex will be assumed by Marcos Madrid, who until last February was responsible for the Cuautitlán plant and has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Madrid, a native of Cananea, Sonora, has held strategic roles in Japan, Germany, India, and Thailand, mainly in the areas of production, strategic planning, and new product launches.

For his part, Dimas Corral, who is currently in charge of the Electric Motors plant in Irapuato, will also take over the reins of the Cuautitlán Assembly and Stamping complex.
This measure will allow for a consistent management approach, as the Bajío headquarters supports the highlands by providing the powertrain for the production of the Mustang Mach-E.
With more than 32 years of experience at Ford, Dimas has built a solid career that began in quality control, where he was responsible for multiple shift operations, finished vehicle inspection, repair processes, inventory, and quality standards compliance.
Finally, Aureliano Lugo, who began his career as an intern at Ford 40 years ago, will remain at the helm of the Chihuahua Engine Plant.
Lugo has held various positions in manufacturing in Mexico, Spain, Belgium, and Japan, and has participated in projects with Germany.
He has successfully led teams in the areas of stamping, painting, quality, engines, and transmissions, and has been part of the leadership team at Ford's four plants in the country.
