General Motors Mexico announced organizational changes in its commercial team
MEXICO - General Motors de México announced organizational changes in its commercial team. Jorge Plata will be the new Vice President of Sales, Service and Marketing and Adriana Schutte will be the new Director of Marketing and Advertising.
Among Jorge's responsibilities will be the marketing strategy for retail, wholesale and fleet customers of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac; as well as the relationship with the Dealer Network in Mexico and 14 countries in Central America and the Caribbean.
On the other hand, Adriana Schutte, currently Director of Premium Sales (Buick, GMC and Cadillac), has been appointed as Director of Marketing and Advertising. She will be responsible for the execution of market launches of both internal combustion and electric vehicles for GM's four brands.

Jorge began his career at GM de Mexico in 2002 as a Marketing Specialist. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in Mexico and the United States such as: Chevrolet Marketing Manager; Director of Advertising and Promotions; Sales Operations Manager for the Western Region of the United States; Director of Sales for Cadillac, Buick and GMC; General Manager of Onstar and Global Customer Connectivity Experience.
Jorge holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Panamericana and a Master's degree in Operations from the same institution.
Adriana started her career at GM de Mexico in 2018, as Chevrolet Marketing Manager, initially leading the passenger vehicle segment, and later the entire portfolio, including pickups and SUV's.
Prior to General Motors, Adriana held various positions of increasing responsibility in the marketing area of Reckitt Benckiser and Colgate-Palmolive, global mass consumption companies.
Adriana holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in International Business from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and is currently pursuing an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington, DC.
