Grupa Frisa opens Banderas Tech Park in Tijuana

Grupo Frisa inaugurated Banderas Tech Park, a new industrial park in the Santa Fe area of Tijuana, Baja California.
This project, covering 11,200 square meters (m2), is designed to house light industry and logistics and distribution centers.
According to the company, which is based in the State of Mexico, the development required an investment of close to US$10 million.
Among its competitive advantages is its location, just 30 kilometers from the Otay International Border Crossing and Tijuana International Airport.
It is worth mentioning that, in a recent interview, the company detailed that the average lease price will be eight dollars per square meter.
The event was attended by Carlos Rivera Torres Prado, general director of Grupo Frisa's Industrial Division; Kurt Honold, state secretary of Economy and Innovation; and Pedro Montejo, Tijuana's secretary of Economic Development.
During the ceremony, Honold highlighted that the region's connectivity is essential for attracting large projects.
“We appreciate your trust in Tijuana and that you are part of this path of shared growth,” Rivera said.
He also noted that Banderas Tech Park is part of a broader investment package announced in April by Grupo FRISA, which includes an investment of more than 5 billion pesos to consolidate its local industrial land offering.
For his part, Pedro Montejo said that the city council's doors are open, as the city depends heavily on industry for its development.
Finally, Rivera Torres pointed out that developments such as Banderas Tech Park are a direct investment in the social, economic, and urban progress of Tijuana. According to official estimates, the complex will generate 300 formal jobs in the region.
Currently, Grupo Frisa has been present in Baja California for more than three decades, with projects such as Isla Catalina, Parque Industrial Baja Maq El Águila, and the Real del Mar golf club.
