Grupo GP inaugurates its first Pocket Park in Leon

José María Garza Treviño, president of Grupo GP Construcción y Desarrollos, inaugurated the Pocket Park León industrial park in Guanajuato.
It is a 27-hectare complex, designed to house both transnational and national companies, and capable of generating 2,500 jobs.
Its location will allow quick access to logistically important places, as it is five kilometers (km) from León, 25 km from the Bajío Airport (in Silao) and 166 km from Querétaro.
In this context, the businessman pointed out that other competitive advantages of the industrial park will be the availability of skilled labor, proximity to residential areas, reducing travel times, connectivity to the main transportation routes, advanced surveillance and security systems, and the following
Optimized maintenance; as well as Sustainable infrastructure.
“This will be the first Pocket Park outside Nuevo León, which will be tailor-made for future tenants. In addition, in the state we have already participated in projects for Michelin and Pepsi.”
According to Garza Treviño, an important characteristic of Pocket Parks is that they are more compact versions of an industrial park.
“This version was created and introduced to the market by GP Desarrollos in 2019. Their size allows them to be strategically located on main roads and near housing developments,” he said.
For her part, Libia García Muñoz, governor of the state, confirmed that the arrival of this project is a reflection of the confidence that investors have in Guanajuato, due to the economic policies that allow for industrial development.
Finally, the governor assured that, although there is national uncertainty due to tariff measures as a result of the renegotiation of the USMCA, Guanajuato is ready to continue attracting investments.
“During these first six months of administration, 12 investment projects have been finalized. This is equivalent to more than two billion dollars and the generation of four thousand 343 jobs.”
