Hengli Hydraulics opens plant in Nuevo León

Chinese company Hengli Hydraulics, which specializes in hydraulic technology, opened its first plant in Mexico with a total investment of US$325 million, located in the FINSA 1 Industrial Park in the municipality of Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.
The inauguration ceremony marked the formal start of operations in the country. The event was attended by the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, the head of the state's Ministry of Economy, Emmanuel Loo, and the company's founder, Wang Li Ping.
The plant will generate a total of 800 jobs, and its development is divided into three stages. The first stage, with an investment of US$200 million, involves the production of hydraulic cylinders for machinery such as excavators, aerial platforms, and mobile cranes, with 200 direct jobs in this phase.
In the second stage, US$25 million will be allocated for the installation of a Global Research and Development Center. The third stage involves an investment of US$100 million for the electronics area.
During the inauguration, authorities highlighted Nuevo León's role as a recipient of foreign investment and pointed to factors such as infrastructure, tax incentives, security, and educational links as part of the state's strategy to attract global companies.
Hengli Hydraulics has a presence in more than 20 countries, operates 11 manufacturing plants, and employs more than 8,000 people internationally, serving sectors such as construction, energy, agriculture, mining, and maritime applications.
In addition to the plant, the company plans to open a research center and a division specializing in electronics in Mexico.
Also present at the event were Wang Qi Stephen, president of Hengli Mexico; Xue Yang Zhao, general manager; and José Méndez, production manager.
