Huasteca Potosina airport will be international

SAN LUIS POTOSI - The airport of Huasteca Potosina will be international, with a project involving an investment of US$239 million, to be carried out by an airport group.

In this sense, the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), said that Grupo Aeroportuario, Ferroviario, de Servicios Auxiliares y Conexos Olmeca - Maya - Mexica, SA de CV (GAFSACOMM), presented the project and the integration of the Consultative Council for the new air terminal.

The project will involve public agencies, representatives of the private sector, municipal authorities, academics, merchants and tourism operators.

At the facilities of the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP) Huasteca campus, the executive project was shown, which will cover an area of 283 hectares.

In addition, during the event, it was announced that the execution of the project will last 12 months, with the start of construction before November 2024, which means that the Huasteca Potosina airport could be ready by the end of 2025.
