Hutchison Ports invests in modernization and industrial integration

In Ensenada, as part of the institutional strategy led by Jorge Magno Lecona in Mexico, Hutchison Ports has implemented projects ranging from the modernization of school facilities to environmental awareness initiatives and partnerships with the international cruise industry.
Ollincuauhtli Mendez Ramirez, general manager of Hutchison Ports EIT and Hutchison Ports ECV, highlighted the importance of port operations extending beyond the port area to actively integrate into community life.
“For us, the success of a terminal is also measured by the positive impact we leave on our surroundings. Through these projects, we aim for our presence in Ensenada to be a driver of comprehensive development, where education, sports, and environmental stewardship become real tools for change for young people and their families,” stated the executive.
As part of the Dock School / Go Green 2026 institutional program, executives from Hutchison EIT and Hutchison ECV formally handed over engineering improvements at the General Lazaro Cardenas Indigenous Elementary School, located in the San Antonio de las Minas district.
In addition, the ECV terminal played a strategic role as a facilitator between the Royal Caribbean cruise line and the local educational community.
