IKD to invest US$178 million in Guanajuato
CHINA - During the investment attraction tour of Asia, the Guanajuato delegation led by Governor Diego Sinhe Rodriguez Vallejo met with representatives of the IKD company in the Republic of China.
This company announced to its visitors the investment of US$178 million in Guanajuato, which could generate 1,000 jobs.
The firm conducts research, development, production, and sales of high-precision aluminum alloy castings for the automotive industry.
IKD's main development strategy is to produce high quality products close to its customers at lower cost, according to the location of both facilities.
The company's products are mainly used in windshield wiper, transmission, steering, engine, brake and mirror systems, among others.
The Asian brand installed its first plant in the Castro del Río Industrial Park in Irapuato, where it serves customers such as Bosch, Valeo, Mitsubishi, Mubea and Seg Automotive, mainly.
IKD's main products made in Irapuato are gear and throttle boxes and alternator chargers; most of its production goes to the United States of America.
