Michigan-based injection molding training and consulting firm RJG Inc. announced is opening its first training facility in Mexico in April in partnership with auto parts molder Yanfeng Global Automotive Interiors (YFAI). The joint training facility is located at Yanfeng’s manufacturing plant in Queretaro, Mexico.

“We are very excited to bring our world-class training to the Mexico area for our current and new customers. For the first time, we will be able to hold a variety of classes in Mexico that were not previously available,” said Scott Van Hoven, RJG’s product commercial consultant. 

“Customers will now have the option to be able to attend a wider offering of RJG’s courses in a public format within Mexico.”

Having a training facility in Mexico will allow RJG’s customers to receive the training they want with shorter lead times and less travel, Van Hoven said, which leads to cost savings. RJG will now be able to train an even larger workforce on decoupled and systematic molding strategies.

“YFAI is proud to announce that they will be partnering with RJG for the shared use of our new Training Center located in Queretaro,” said Kenton Oglesbay, Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Trainer at Yanfeng. “This collaboration with RJG was a logical continuation based upon our already strong and successful working relationship that has been built over the past 30 years.”

The first course held at Yanfeng’s facility will be Systematic Molding on April 2 – 4, 2019. Jorge Banderas and Daniel Lopez will be the RJG lead consultant/trainers leading these classes in Spanish.
