Intretech opens plant in Nuevo León

With an investment of US$60 million, Intretech opened its first plant in Mexico, located in the municipality of Apodaca, Nuevo León. This project not only represents a milestone for the company, but will also contribute significantly to the regional economy with the creation of nearly 2,000 direct jobs.
The opening ceremony was led by the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda, who was accompanied by state and municipal authorities. In his speech, the governor highlighted that Nuevo León continues to position itself as a national leader in attracting investment, formal employment, and industrial development.
The arrival of Intretech in Nuevo León is a clear sign of the boom the state is experiencing in the context of nearshoring. With more than 400,000 new jobs created so far this year, the state is consolidating its position as one of the most attractive destinations for foreign direct investment, especially in high-tech and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Intretech, an Asian company founded in 2011, specializes in smart manufacturing and has a global presence. It produces electronic devices such as smart rearview mirrors, headphones, Internet of Things (IoT) products, navigation systems, and medical components. Its plant in Apodaca will be key to meeting customer demand in North America and consolidating its presence on the continent.
Linden Lin, chairman of the board of Intretech Mexico, expressed his gratitude to the state government and the municipality of Apodaca for their support during the installation process. He noted that this investment is part of a global expansion strategy based on operational efficiency, technological innovation, and proximity to strategic markets.
For Apodaca, the new plant represents another step in its consolidation as an industrial center in the country. Mayor César Garza Arredondo highlighted that his municipality has not only led the way in job creation in the state, but has also managed to diversify its economy with highly specialized sectors. So far this year, Apodaca has created around 10,000 jobs, more than half of which are in the manufacturing sector.
