Jeep Cherokee, Spearheading Stellantis’ Comeback: CNBC

Stellantis is confident that the return of the Jeep Cherokee to showrooms will boost the recovery of both the off-road brand and the multinational after significant losses in recent years.
“This is a crucial vehicle for us,” Richard Cox, senior vice president of Jeep brand operations, told CNBC during an event in Los Angeles, California, where the return of this model, whose previous generation was discontinued three years ago, was made official.
The economics and finance media outlet highlighted that the vehicle produced in Toluca will compete in one of the largest segments of the U.S. market with a hybrid engine that makes it the most efficient Jeep brand vehicle to date.
Because of this, the report notes, it could be argued that the new Cherokee will be Stellantis' most important launch in the United States this year.

“I believe this expands our reach with this level of motorization, with this level of fuel efficiency and capacity, it is a fundamental part of our growth,” said the executive, confident that the return of the SUV “positions us well in 2026.”
The multinational automaker aims to increase its retail sales by 25% this year, a goal that, according to a local dealer, is feasible with the company's new leadership and new product range.
“We've been missing the Cherokee. It's critical for us. It's critical for Jeep, and I think they nailed it,” Sean Hogan, vice president of Sierra Auto Group, told the trade publication.
