Kia achieves record figures with sales of cars made in Mexico

In December 2025, Korean automaker Kia Mexico achieved its best-ever sales figures for light vehicles, selling 10,393 units in a single month, representing a 9.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024, with cars produced in the country standing out.

Kia Mexico ended 2025 as a historic year, registering a record 111,172 units sold from January to December, representing a 6.5% increase compared to the previous year.

These positive results were driven by models manufactured at Kia's plant in Nuevo León, with the K3 maintaining its position as the brand's best-selling model, with 9.6% year-on-year growth, and the K4 ranking as Kia's third best-selling model.

Also noteworthy is the significant growth in sales of the Sportage HEV, which at the end of last year accounted for 28% of total sales of the model.

The Asian brand managed to grow five times more than the automotive industry in general, which grew by 1.3% at the end of 2025.

Despite this increase, KIA continues to fight for fourth place in the vehicle sales ranking in Mexico, as its immediate Japanese competitor maintains a strong presence in the Mexican market.

With a 7.3% share in 2025, Kia consolidates its position in the Top 5 of the Mexican market brand ranking and confirms its strong positioning among consumers in a highly competitive market.

“We are very proud of the results achieved in 2025. We have once again achieved record sales, with 111,000 units sold, exceeding the target we set at the beginning of the year,” said Horacio Chávez, Managing Director of Kia Mexico.

“This result reflects the confidence of our customers, the strength of our product portfolio, the commitment of our dealer network, and confirms that we are on the right track to continue growing steadily in the Mexican market,” he added.
