Kingfa to invest US$84 million in new plant

Kingfa, a global leader in plastic injection and molding, will invest US$84 million to expand its operations in San Luis Potosí, with the construction of a manufacturing, research and development complex in the Logistik III Industrial Park, located in the municipality of Villa de Reyes.
The announcement was made by the state's Secretary of Economic Development, Jesús Salvador González Martínez, who explained that the investment includes US$15 million for the acquisition of a 15-hectare site, where the main building and a new warehouse will be constructed.
Founded in 1993, Kingfa has expanded internationally and in San Luis Potosí has consolidated its position as a key auto parts supplier for several brands established in the Bajío region. The expansion will generate 500 direct jobs and strengthen the local production chain by attracting talent and suppliers that will benefit both Villa de Reyes and the rest of the state.
The company's activities at the new plant will include research, development, production and marketing of special plastic parts for the automotive sector, as well as the integration of carbon fiber in its processes. It will also serve customers in sectors such as household appliances, aerospace and public health.
Alfonso Rodríguez Baldazo, Director of Municipal Economic Development, emphasized that this investment positions Villa de Reyes as a strategic node for innovation and manufacturing in the Americas. He also affirmed that the complex will be Kingfa's most important innovation center globally and one of the most relevant of its kind in North America.
Mr. Rodríguez Baldazo thanked the company for trusting in the community of Villa Reyes, and assured that this project represents a long-term commitment to the economic and industrial development of the region.
