KUKA Mexico celebrates 30 years of innovation

The Mexican company KUKA will celebrate three decades of operations in the country in 2026; during this time, it has participated in industrial automation projects across various manufacturing sectors.
Founded in 1996, KUKA Mexico began its operations in the domestic market with a project for Volkswagen related to the production of the Jetta A3 and the new Beetle models, where the company’s first set of robots was installed in Mexico.
Although the company’s main activity is in the automotive sector, it has also developed applications for electronics, material handling and packaging, consumer goods, metalworking, logistics, and healthcare.
It has established ties with academic institutions, clusters, and industry associations as part of its collaboration strategy for talent development and the adoption of automation technologies.
“We look back with pride on the last 30 years… Now we hope to continue our mission of strengthening local manufacturing through technological innovation and contributing to the development of Mexico’s manufacturing industries,” said Christopher Hernandez, the company’s president in Mexico.
In the coming years, KUKA plans to continue expanding its collaboration with educational institutions and industrial organizations, with the goal of strengthening the adoption of automation solutions in the Mexican market.
