Mexico is a strong market for doing business: Prochile

MEXICO - In the last 3 years, the arrival of Chilean companies to the Mexican market has increased, due to the existence of a Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and Chile that generates and gives confidence and certainty to investors, according to specialists.

“We estimate about 100 Chilean companies with operations in Mexico and others (30 companies) that are in the process of installation and exploration to land,” revealed Marcelo Sobarzo, commercial director of Prochile in Mexico.

He aded that today a large number of companies dedicated to offering technological solutions are arriving in Mexico, who see a strong market for doing business and a fertile land for their installation.

“We are very happy with the arrival of startups and technology companies installed in Mexico, which have been there for quite some time,” added the representative of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

For the executive, Chilean technology is very interesting for Mexican companies, so this landing (of Chilean companies) makes them happy, which has been taking place very strongly in the last 3 years.

According to Prochile, in the first months of the year, from January to September, exports of services to Mexico totaled US$ 71 million.

More than US$40 million of information technology products were imported from the Chilean market, representing 57 percent of total exports to Mexico, reflecting the continued expansion of Chilean companies in Mexico.
