Mexico’s GDP grows by 0.7% in the second quarter of 2025

Mexico's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 0.7% in real terms compared to the previous quarter, according to the timely estimate published by Inegi for the second quarter of the year.

At an annual rate, the timely estimate showed an increase of 1.2%, according to seasonally adjusted figures.

Between April and June, tertiary activities, which include trade, transportation, tourism, and other services, registered quarterly growth of 0.7%, while secondary activities (industry, manufacturing, and construction) increased by 0.8%. In contrast, primary activities (agriculture, livestock, fishing) fell by 1.3% compared to the previous quarter.

However, in annual terms, primary activities stood out with an increase of 4.5%, while tertiary activities advanced 1.7%. In contrast, the secondary sector showed a slight contraction of 0.2%.

Thus, Mexico has accumulated two quarters of growth, following the decline recorded in the last quarter of 2024 (0.7%).
