Modula Mexico embraces vertical storage automation in the industry

During his appearance at The Logistics World Expo, Ismael Flores, CEO of Modula Mexico, explained how vertical storage automation has begun to gain a foothold in various industries across the country, driven by the need to optimize space, improve inventory control, and increase operational efficiency.
Modula, an Italian company, presented its solutions designed for the storage and management of small and medium-sized components.
“The main benefit for our customers is space savings. Compared to traditional shelving storage, the savings in floor space are significant,” the executive announced.
He also noted that these solutions allow for greater inventory control through automated systems that manage processes such as first-in, first-out, as well as integration with the company’s ERP.
Automated vertical storage systems have found application in various manufacturing industries, particularly in sectors such as automotive, pharmaceutical, aerospace, hospitals, hardware, and electronics.
The director also highlighted that the adoption of automated storage systems has grown significantly in Mexico over the past decade: “Ten years ago, it was difficult for Mexican customers to accept the concept of automated storage. Today we have around 600 machines installed and operating in the country, moving materials up and down every day.”
