Moving towards a more developed value chain: Tamaulipas

The Tamaulipas Energy Cluster continues to make progress toward its goal of connecting local industry with investments and projects underway within the state. The Secretary of Energy Development, Walter Julian Angel Jimenez, confirmed that this initiative aims to build an ecosystem that fosters greater business participation in the energy sector.

The official noted that the cluster brings together the public, private, social, and academic sectors as a coordinated model to ensure that investments yield concrete results, with the goal of strengthening local capacity to meet the demands of energy projects and spark regional economic growth.

“We want Tamaulipas to be able to develop a significant portion of the value chain, and that benefits not only the state but also economic growth,” said Angel Jimenez.

In line with this approach, the Secretary of Energy Development held a meeting in Reynosa with companies from the oil and gas sector, during which the hydrocarbons value chain and business opportunities were presented.

The development of the Energy Cluster in Tamaulipas aims to consolidate a competitive environment that allows local companies to participate in strategic projects, diversify their involvement in the industry, and strengthen the state’s economic growth in the medium term.
