Naturgy to invest US$14.4 million in Aguascalientes

Spanish company Naturgy, a leader in natural gas distribution in Latin America, announced an initial investment of US$14.4 million in Aguascalientes to install a City Gate in the northern part of the state. The announcement was made during a meeting with Governor Tere Jiménez, as part of her official tour of Spain.

The installation of the City Gate, which represents the first stage of Naturgy's project in the state, seeks to expand the distribution of natural gas for industrial use, facilitating access to this strategic input for local companies.

During the meeting, the state governor stressed that her administration is focused on creating optimal conditions for investment, especially in terms of labor peace, security, infrastructure, connectivity, and human talent.

“Thank you for trusting Aguascalientes and contributing to its economic and industrial development,” said the governor.

Naturgy, with operations in 25 countries and a customer base of 16 million, is one of the most important energy companies internationally. In Mexico, it ranks fourth as an energy generator and is the leading distributor of natural gas in Latin America.
