Nuevo León creates artificial intelligence cluster

Nuevo León continues to consolidate its position as an industrial benchmark in Mexico. Governor Samuel García announced the creation of the Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Cluster.

The new cluster will join the thirteen already existing in the state, including the automotive, aerospace, nanotechnology and biotechnology sectors. The intention is to strengthen the innovation and technology ecosystem in the state, taking advantage of the fact that the technology industry is exempt from tariffs, which makes it a strategic bet for the regional economy.

During his speech, García highlighted that his administration has allocated US$421 million to support 3,300 SMEs, a figure that, according to the president, exceeds the joint effort of the other 31 states in the country. For this year, US$7.4 million will be added to the credit fund for SMEs, with priority for those that export and develop technology.

“We want to expand the credits, the amount and the number of SMEs benefited, and above all support those who export and bet on technology. Our goal is to raise the financing threshold from five to ten million pesos per company,” said García Sepúlveda.

With these actions, Nuevo León seeks to consolidate its position as a leader in innovation and technology in Mexico, offering a favorable environment for investment and business growth.
