Nuevo León strengthens ties with Texas

The economic relationship between Nuevo León and Texas is strengthened with the arrival of SWBC (Southwest Business Corporation) in Monterrey, with an initial investment of US$2.8 million and the projected creation of 400 direct jobs in strategic sectors.
SWBC's new offices are located in the iconic Pabellón M complex, in the heart of Monterrey, with more than 2,000 square meters of space designed to house talent in areas such as technology, business management, collections, and customer service.
The Nuevo León Ministry of Economy highlighted that this investment confirms the state's position as one of Mexico's most attractive destinations for foreign direct investment.
“With the arrival of SWBC, we reaffirm that Nuevo León is the best place to invest and grow. Our proximity to Texas, modern infrastructure, and highly skilled workforce make our state a natural ally for international companies,” said Emmanuel Loo, head of the Ministry of Economy.
SWBC, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, is a diversified financial services company that offers insurance, mortgage, wealth management, and employee benefits solutions to both financial institutions and individuals.
During the inauguration, Charlie Amato, co-founder and president of SWBC, highlighted the quality of Monterrey's talent: “Monterrey is an excellent city. We evaluated more than 30 markets, and the quality of talent here is above any other. That is why we firmly believe in the growth of our operations in this city.”
The company has currently hired 150 people and has a goal of reaching 400 employees by 2026.
“We couldn't be happier in Monterrey. The community has welcomed us with open arms, and this building is simply exceptional,” added Gary Dudley, co-founder of SWBC.
The inaugural event was attended by Salomón Marcuschamer, developer of Pabellón M, as well as representatives from binational chambers such as AMCHAM, Texas authorities, the U.S. Consulate in Monterrey, and the Texas Office of Representative in Mexico.
