Samsung plant in Querétaro exports 80% of its production

QUERETARO - Samsung's plant in Querétaro produces 16,000 products daily, reaching an annual volume of more than four million units.

This home appliance production center is fundamental to the company's goal of expanding the use of artificial intelligence through the AI for All initiative, which also covers the Latin American region, according to company information.

The plant, which employs 3,000 workers, has established itself as a key hub in the export of household appliances in the continent, in addition to being one of the most important for the company worldwide, the company said.

Of the total production, 20% remains in the domestic market and 80% is exported to Latin America and North America; of the exportable volume, 17% is distributed in the markets of Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Panama, Argentina and Uruguay.

From this center the company produces the main lines of appliances that are marketed in Latin America: Family Hub refrigerators, Bespoke, Top Mount Freezer, together with Bespoke washers and dryers, Laundry Hub with AI, as well as top-loading washing machines.

The president of the production division of Samsung Electronics Mexico Production (SEM-P), Byong Jin Kong, stressed that this production center is distinguished by manufacturing parts with cutting-edge technologies.

“The Querétaro plant is not just a production center, but a symbol of Samsung's commitment to innovation, whether in the manufacture of appliances with cutting-edge technology and a high level of quality, or in maintaining a more efficient, safe and sustainable mode of production,” he said.
