San Luis Potosi: LINDE + WIEMANN opens a new plant

LINDE + WIEMANN has opened a new production plant in the Millenium Industrial Park in San Luis Potosi, as part of its expansion strategy in the American market and in response to the growing demand for advanced structural components for the automotive industry.

The plant thus joins the company’s global manufacturing network, bringing the total number of facilities to 16. According to the company, this investment aims to strengthen the regional supply chain and meet the technical requirements of next-generation vehicles, particularly regarding structural safety and weight reduction.

Operations in Mexico begin with the production of parts for the assembly of BMW’s iX3 model, including structural components for the Neue Klasse architecture, with production scheduled to begin in February 2027.

The complex features an automated assembly line that will initially employ 100 workers and is projected to generate annual revenue of US$23 million.

With over 70 years of global experience, LINDE + WIEMANN specializes in the manufacture of highly complex structural components for vehicles, with a particular focus on technological innovation, quality, and sustainability. The opening of this new plant in San Luis Potosi establishes the company as a strategic partner in the automotive value chain.
