San Marcos Valley Industrial Park in Aguascalientes begins construction

The state of Aguascalientes has begun construction on the San Marcos Valley Industrial Park, a new development promoted by Lintel.
The complex covers 140 hectares (119 of which are marketable) and is located in a strategic area for the logistics sector. It will also include a wastewater treatment plant, a well, an elevated tank, and high- and low-voltage power supply.
Governor Teresa Jiménez led the groundbreaking ceremony, highlighting the state as a strategic location for industrial investment in the Bajío region.
“San Marcos Valley is a clear message to the world that we are present and willing to compete with greater strength and vision for the future. It will respond to the growing demand for industrial space in light of companies' interest in setting up in the state,” said Jiménez.
The governor added that the project will require an estimated investment of US$83 million and will generate up to 750 direct jobs.
Esau Garza de Vega, state secretary of economy, said that San Marcos Valley represents an important opportunity for operational and administrative personnel.
“It will have a direct impact on the local economy and the well-being of families in the region,” said the official.
In this regard, he noted that the plant's proximity to the South Campus of the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes will facilitate links between the education sector and industry, creating job opportunities for young people.
For his part, José Arturo Crespo Pavón, CEO and partner at Lintel, shared that the complex will be ready to operate in early 2026 and will be able to house companies from sectors such as automotive, technology, electronics, health, innovation, and logistics.
“We are investing in Aguascalientes because of its strategic location, economic dynamism, the quality of its people, and government support,” he said.
