SL MEX Opens New Plant in SLP

South Korean company SL MEX SLP has inaugurated a new manufacturing plant at the Logistik II Industrial Park, following an investment of approximately US$44 million, strengthening the automotive industry in the region and generating a positive impact on the state’s economy.

The project is expected to create more than 500 direct jobs and is part of the company’s expansion strategy in Mexico. During the inauguration ceremony, state authorities emphasized that this investment reflects foreign investors’ confidence in San Luis Potosí, as well as the state’s favorable conditions in terms of stability, infrastructure, and skilled workforce.

The facility spans more than 14,000 square meters and will focus on the production of automotive lighting systems and modules, key components within the automotive supply chain. Its operations will support major global automakers and Tier 1 suppliers.

With this new plant, Villa de Reyes strengthens its role as a strategic hub for industrial development, while San Luis Potosí reinforces its position as one of Mexico’s leading automotive clusters, attracting high value-added investments and promoting sustainable economic growth.
