SSC-CDMX and AICM Sign Agreement to Strengthen Security at Mexico City Airport

The Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC-CDMX) and the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at establishing general guidelines for joint security efforts within and around the airport terminals.
According to an official statement, both institutions will coordinate intelligence operations and share relevant data, videos, images, and information about individuals or vehicles linked to criminal groups. This exchange of information will help identify, monitor, locate, and apprehend suspects who may be using public areas of the airport to target potential victims.
The agreement also includes tracking of criminal acts committed not only within or near the airport but also in other areas of Mexico City or neighboring states, provided those incidents are connected to airport-related criminal activity.
Additionally, the initiative aims to detect individuals or vehicles possibly involved in illegal actions related to airport operations or services.
The Collaboration Agreement was signed by SSC-CDMX Commissioner General Pablo Vázquez Camacho and Admiral Juan José Padilla Olmos, General Director of AICM.
The signing ceremony was attended by SSC officials, including Chief Commissioner Hermenegildo Lugo Lara, Undersecretary of Intelligence and Police Investigation, and Elpidio De La Cruz Contreras, Undersecretary of Police Operations. Representing the airport were Alejandra Mendieta Bustos, Corporate Legal Director, and Rear Admiral Juan Hernández Ramírez, Deputy Director of Security.
