Tamaulipas’ priority projects presented to NadBank

TAMAULIPAS - The general director of the North American Development Bank (NADBank), John Beckham, expressed the institution's interest in financing all areas of opportunity in areas such as energy generation, hydraulic resources, mobility and urban development in the state of Tamaulipas.

During a work meeting held at Casa de Gobierno, the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal, accompanied by heads of various state ministries, presented to the general director of NADBank 14 of the strategic projects promoted by the current state administration and highlighted the support already provided by this institution for the sanitation of wastewater in the city of Nuevo Laredo.

In an extensive presentation, projects such as the Northern Gulf Water Plan (PLHIGON), the second line of the Vicente Guerrero Dam aqueduct, the construction of the Monterrey Wastewater Outfall to the Marte R. Gomez Dam, the El El El Salvador Dam, the El Salvador Dam, the El Salvador Dam and the Nuevo Laredo River Basin were presented. Gómez dam, the El Moralillo dam, the installation of desalination plants, the rehabilitation and technification of the Irrigation Districts, the Integral Waste Center, the Tire Collection and Recycling Plant, the Lora Turtle Interactive Museum and the Integrated Passenger Transportation System (BRT).

Also discussed were the works being carried out for the development of the North Port in Matamoros, the construction of a Photovoltaic Park, the Strategic Fiscal Precinct in Ciudad Victoria and the expansion of the International Bridge in Nuevo Laredo.

"I know that the relationship has always been favorable with NADBank in what I know of the relations with our entity and now of what we have been able to implement in this administration and with the desire to see and have these opportunities both in the generation of ideas, projects and financing that allow us to continue growing," said Villarreal.

After learning about these projects in detail, the director of NADBank, John Beckham, showed his interest in energy generation issues and acknowledged that actions such as those already promoted by this institution could be implemented in other states along Mexico's northern border.

"Hopefully we can support in a way not only with financing or subsidies, but with intelligence and experience that can provide value for you and for the communities of Tamaulipas," he said.

Finally, John Beckham invited the governor of Tamaulipas to the Innovation for Sustainability Summit for the U.S.-Mexico Border Region to be held by NADBank on August 29-30 in San Antonio, Texas.

Carlos Carranza, Director of Environmental Financial Infrastructure, and Oscar Durán, head of the Institutional Relations and Communications Unit, also attended the meeting on behalf of NADBank.
