The 2026 Ford Edge with Hybrid Engine Arrives

The blue oval brand began distribution of the new 2026 Ford Edge to dealerships across the country. It differs from previous versions by incorporating three rows and a hybrid powertrain.
Unlike the previous generation, which was produced in Canada until early 2024, this new model is the product of the Changan Ford joint venture, which assembles and markets it in China under the name Ford Edge Plus.
The SUV is available in two versions, Trend and Titanium, both with a panoramic roof and other features that together create a product that combines “style, power, comfort with great capacity, efficiency, and technology for a unique travel experience in its segment,” according to the American automaker.
According to Ford Mexico, the 2026 Edge is focused on the segment of “modern families looking for the best in technology in a dynamic and sustainable car.”

“The transition of this nameplate to a three-row model is more than just a design change; it is the answer to growing, forward-thinking families, groups of friends who travel together, and drivers who want more space and are looking for premium sustainability options. The new Ford Edge carries on the Ford legacy but expands its possibilities,” said Laura Valdés, Director of Sales and Marketing.
A New Chapter for an Icon
At the heart of the new Ford Edge is a hybrid system that delivers 271 horsepower and 298 lb-ft of torque, with AWD and an estimated range of up to 1,100 km per tank.

It also features a 13.2-inch touchscreen and a B&O sound system with 12 speakers. In addition, it integrates the newly evolved Ford App, which combines connectivity and comprehensive, intuitive features to monitor and control the vehicle from anywhere.
It is equipped with assistance technologies such as hill start assist, which facilitates a smooth start on sloping terrain, and adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, ideal for maintaining speed and proper distance even in variable traffic.

It also includes a lane preservation and maintenance system, which helps the driver stay correctly positioned within their lane.
Inside, the third row maximizes space versatility, while heated and ventilated seats, along with footrests in the second row, offer a premium travel experience.
