The 2026 Ford Territory Hybrid arrives in Mexico

Ford Mexico has revealed that the 2026 Ford Territory will feature a hybrid engine option that will provide an estimated range of up to 1,200 kilometers per tank.
The new SUV will be available in two versions, Trend HEV and Titanium HEV, both powered by a 1.5-liter displacement engine coupled with a 2DHT transmission, which works in conjunction with a self-recharging electrical system to optimize fuel consumption and reduce emissions.
This addition “joins the brand's growing range of electrified vehicles, aligning with Ford's global vision of offering more smart and conscious mobility options for all lifestyles,” the company said when confirming the introduction of this electrified vehicle to the Mexican market.
The SUV was developed by a joint venture between the U.S. company and Chinese automaker Jiangling Motors Corporation Limited, known as JMC-Ford, which operates a plant in the industrial hub of Nanchang.
In this regard, Ford states that in the Territory, “every detail, from the strength of its structure to the precision of its finishes, has been designed to provide a reliable, safe, and durable driving experience worthy of bearing the blue oval.”
“The Ford Territory Hybrid maintains the innovative DNA of the family, backed by more than 120 years of automotive experience worldwide and the demanding globally standardized processes, both in engineering and quality control, that distinguish all its vehicles,” the company added in the presentation.

All versions of the model include six airbags, BLIS with cross-traffic alert, stability and traction control, and individual tire pressure monitoring, while the Titanium HEV version adds a 360-degree camera, front sensors, and adaptive cruise control.
The exterior design features a redesigned front grille and LED headlights. Inside, the Titanium HEV version offers heated and cooled leather seats, multicolor ambient lighting, and a Vista Roof panoramic sunroof, as well as a hands-free “Open Sesame” power liftgate and dual-zone automatic climate control.
“The arrival of the first Ford Territory Hybrid in Mexico is a historic moment for the model and for our electrification strategy in the region,” said Laura Valdés, director of Marketing and Sales for Ford Mexico.
The executive added that “this launch offers our customers the opportunity to enjoy everything they love about the SUV, now with a more efficient and environmentally friendly powertrain.”
In addition to the hybrid version, the 2026 Ford Territory is available in a gasoline version with a 187-horsepower 1.8-liter Turbo EcoBoost engine.
This model features a 7-speed transmission and front-wheel drive, offering four driving modes (Normal, Eco, Sport, and Mountain).
