The Japanese company Tokai Kogyo, globally recognized for manufacturing rubber and resin automotive components, announced an investment of US$5.2 million to expand its production lines in Aguascalientes.

The expansion will take place at the plant located in the Siglo XXI Industrial Park, south of the state capital, where the company has been operating since 2014.

The announcement was made during a meeting between company executives and the governor of Aguascalientes, María Teresa Jiménez, who highlighted the advantages the state offers for foreign investment, such as security, labor peace, and the quality of the local workforce.

“Thanks to our workforce and the competitive advantages offered by Aguascalientes, such as security and a good business environment, international companies continue to trust our state to grow their investments,” said the governor.

For their part, representatives of Tokai Kogyo acknowledged the favorable environment they have found in Aguascalientes, which was a determining factor in their decision to continue expanding in the state. The company highlighted the climate of security, stability, and competitiveness as key factors in its decision.

The investment was managed with the support of the Japan Desk of the Investment Attraction area, the Secretariat of Economic Development, Science and Technology, and the Government of the State of Aguascalientes, who celebrated the trust that Tokai Kogyo has placed in the state.

With this new project, the company seeks to strengthen its operational capabilities in Mexico and meet the growing demand for automotive components in the country.
