Tokaikogyo expands in Aguascalientes

The Japanese company Tokaikogyo announced an investment of US$5.3 million to expand its plant located in the Gigante de los Arellano Industrial Park, in Aguascalientes.
The investment includes the installation of a new production line, which will allow the company to increase its production capacity by 30%, strengthening its presence in the international auto parts market.
During a tour of the facilities, Governor Tere Jiménez supervised the progress of the project, which was presented last June as part of her economic promotion tour of Japan.
The state governor reiterated her administration's support for foreign companies that choose Aguascalientes as an investment destination.
“In Aguascalientes, investments find fertile ground to grow, prosper, and bear fruit. This land proudly opens itself to the world,” said Jiménez Esquivel.
As part of the expansion, 50% of the new machinery to be incorporated comes from Mexican suppliers, which represents a boost for the development of the local supply chain.
Yuichi Kimura, chief executive of Tokaikogyo Group, thanked the state government for its support and highlighted the collaboration with local authorities.
“We have built mutual trust that allows us to move forward and improve the competitiveness of our products in the face of global challenges,” he said.
For his part, the Secretary of Economic Development, Science and Technology, Esaú Garza de Vega, highlighted the company's commitment to human talent development and sustainability. He added that the state government will continue to work hand in hand with the private sector to promote orderly economic growth.
Tokaikogyo's expansion adds to the growing list of foreign direct investment projects that are strengthening Aguascalientes' position as a strategic center for the automotive industry in Latin America.
