UTMatamoros inaugurates new Artificial Intelligence Laboratory

The Technological University of Matamoros (UTMatamoros) inaugurated a new Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, a space that will serve to develop skills in advanced programming, data analysis, and automation.
The ceremony was led by Tamaulipas Secretary of Education Miguel Ángel Valdez García, who visited the institution for the first time. During his tour, he was accompanied by the university's rector, Diana Masso.
The laboratory is part of the university's efforts to expand its technological infrastructure and adapt to the current demands of the productive sector. The Artificial Intelligence degree program is scheduled to formally begin in September, positioning UTMatamoros as one of the first institutions in the border region with a program of this type.
According to education authorities, this type of space seeks to generate new opportunities for students in areas of innovation and technology, in addition to responding to the growing demand for specialized profiles in artificial intelligence in the labor market.
