Vesta invests US$216 million in industrial park in Guadalajara

With an investment of US$216 million, the first phase of the Vesta Industrial Park was inaugurated in the municipality of El Salto, in the Guadalajara metropolitan area.

Vesta CEO Lorenzo Dominique Berho highlighted the state's high potential in both logistics and the business chain to other countries in terms of technology.

“In 2007, we carried out our first project in Lagos de Moreno with Nestlé, Vesta's most important client, and we subsequently grew with them, which gave us the opportunity to expand in the state of Jalisco.  Today, the step we recently took in Guadalajara also commits us because we are going to be exploring more land as we want to repeat these successes,” said the executive.

The investment includes both the first phase of this industrial complex, covering an area of 30 hectares with three buildings, and a second phase covering an area of 36 hectares.

During a tour of the works, Governor Enrique Alfaro mentioned that the water infrastructure to guarantee water supply in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, the road works, and the growth in capacity at the international airports of Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, in addition to the state's legal certainty,

“will ensure that Jalisco continues to be a leading player in Mexico's economic development,” the governor said.
