XCMG expands in Nuevo Leon
NUEVO LEON - Xozhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd (XCMG), a Chinese company specializing in the manufacture of heavy machinery and construction equipment, announced its second plant in Nuevo Leon, in the municipality of Ciénega de Flores.
This new plant will have a total investment of US$80 million and 300 new jobs.
The announcement was made during the first annual meeting of XCMG, which arrived in Nuevo León in 2021, where it has generated more than 100 jobs.
The first production plant in the state will manufacture scissor lifts (PEMP) for the North American market.
"When a company expands its operations, we confirm the unique competitive advantages that Nuevo León offers to investors," said Iván Rivas Rodríguez, state Secretary of Economy.
The event was attended by Secretary Iván Rivas; Emmanuel Loo, Undersecretary of Investment of the Ministry of Economy; Li Qianjin, General Manager of XCMG Fire-Fighting Safety Equipment Co. Ltd. and XCMG Group executives.
XCMG is headquartered in Xozhou Jiangsu, China, with more than 40 plants and more than six R&D centers in countries such as Germany, the United States, Brazil and India.
Currently, its products are present in 183 countries, it has 2,156 authorized patents, of which 164 are inventions, and has developed more than 100 innovative products in China.
