Korea-based automotive components manufacturer Kodaco started operations at a plant located in the municipality of Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, a project that required a US$ 98 million investment and created 300 jobs.
The company built a 36,363 square-meters facility at the Santa Maria Industrial Park to supply aluminum parts for steering, braking systems and transmissions to clients in Mexico, the U.S. and Brazil.
Kia and Hyundai are Kodaco's main customers, but the company is eager to find new clients in the Americas.
Kwi Seung In, president of Kodaco, underscored that the Ramos Arizpe plant is the company's first outside Korea, which is why it represents a new stage for the firm.
