Volkswagen Truck & Bus Mexico achieves record sales in 2022

MEXICO – Volkswagen Truck & Bus Mexico sold a record 2,778 units in 2022 of its Volkswagen Trucks and Buses and MAN brands, which also translates into an increase of 53% percent over 2021.

According to the group, the record sales figure is due to the fact that it has one of the most complete product portfolios in the market, both for cargo and passenger vehicles.

In the cargo segment, the brands reported the sale of 1,997 units in 2022, a growth of 82% compared to 2021, highlighting Volkswagen's Delivery and Constellation families, as well as MAN's TGX.

Meanwhile, in the passenger segment, the two brands sold 781 units last year, an 8% increase compared to 2021, a result that contrasts with the 1% fall of the industry. Within the Volksbus family, the Huracán (Volksbus 14,190) was the best-selling product.

Giovanni Juárez, Director of Sales, Marketing and After Sales, highlighted the record sales result for the group.

"This has positioned us within the top 5 of the heavy vehicle industry and commits us to continue working on the satisfaction of our customers. For 2023 we are looking to continue growing with very positive results," said Giovanni Juárez, Director of Sales, Marketing and After Sales.
