Kurabe invests US$14 million in Aguascalientes
AGUASCALIENTES - With an investment of US$14 million, the Japanese company Kurabe began operations, which in its first phase will provide productive employment for 400 people.
It is the first plant to be installed in the American continent and is dedicated to the production of heaters for steering wheels and seats, among other accessories.
"I appreciate the trust to establish its production plant here, the only one in the entire American continent; this has been possible because we are the Logistic Heart of America, due to our privileged location," assured the governor, María Teresa Jiménez Esquivel.
The state governor said that with this new investment, Aguascalientes strengthens its leadership in the region and in the country, in the development of state-of-the-art technology, in the strengthening of value chains and in the generation of jobs.
"We will not fail them. Here you will find a fertile territory to continue expanding the long friendship that unites Japan and Aguascalientes, because here there is capacity, talent, commitment and will to respond to your decision," he said.
For his part, Takenobu Kanazawa, CEO of the Kurabe Group, mentioned that after two years of construction in the San Francisco de los Romo IV Industrial Park, this factory, which is dedicated to the production of steering wheel and seat heaters, among other accessories for the automotive industry, begins formal operations today.
He also informed that Kurabe generates annual sales of more than US$280 million and employs close to 4,500 people at its ten plants in Japan, Vietnam and China.
