Eaton invests US$85 million to expand its Queretaro plant
QUERETARO - In Querétaro, the first stone was laid for the expansion of Eaton Powering Business Worldwide, a U.S. company that will invest US$85 million and generate 300 new jobs in the region.
Eaton's new facility in Querétaro will be dedicated to the manufacture of protection and subway interconnection products for state-of-the-art electrical installations.
Eaton's senior vice president and general manager of Electrical Reliability, Omar Zaire, said that the company's expansion is aimed at supporting market demand.
For his part, the head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development of Querétaro (SEDESU) Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, highlighted the shared commitment between Eaton and Querétaro in environmental matters, due to the company's goal to reduce its emissions by 2050.
"We celebrate that Eaton has such an ambitious goal of decarbonization, to reduce its emissions by 2050," said Del Prete.
