Holcim Mexico Announces Expansion in Queretaro
QUERETARO - Holcim México, a company that produces and markets cement and other construction products, announced the expansion of its operations in Querétaro.
The company has acquired two concrete plants from Grupo COMOSA. The Swiss company also informed that the plants are located in San Juan del Río and Balvanera.
With this acquisition, Holcim strengthens its presence in the Mexican market, adding these two units to its 70 ready-mix concrete plants already existing in the country. The company also announced that it will double its annual production in the state of Querétaro.
"This expansion not only strengthens our production network, but also underscores our ongoing commitment to sustainable construction and innovation," highlighted Manuel Sirtori, Director of Concrete and Aggregates at Holcim Mexico.
Holcim Mexico produces and markets cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates (gravel and sand), and other construction products and services of the highest quality. The company currently operates more than 70 concrete plants that produce solutions with an impact on the most emblematic works for Mexico's development, both in the public and private sectors.
In 2023 alone, two new plants started operations in Riviera Nayarit, as well as two plants in León, Guanajuato. In addition, plants are under construction in Nuevo León and the center of the country. As a result, the company has reached 18 of Mexico's 25 most important cities.
