Querétaro makes investments in London
QUERETARO - During the Farnborough Aerospace Fair in England, Queretaro secured investments of more than US$157 million, generating more than 1,650 new formal jobs.
The Governor of Queretaro, Mauricio Kuri, through a video message, highlighted that these results consolidate Queretaro as a leader in the aerospace sector, thanks to the opportunities it provides to companies and the talent of the people of Queretaro.
“In Queretaro we have always sought to be one step ahead, to work, innovate and build more and better opportunities for our families, taking advantage of the talent and knowledge of our people, combined with the arrival of new companies that offer specialized and well-paid jobs,” he stressed.
Among the most important agreements, an investment of almost US$34.4 million was made with Airbus, one of the most important companies in the manufacture of helicopter components, which will generate 260 new formal jobs. In addition, an investment of US$47.9 million was made with DIEHL Aviation, which specializes in aircraft supplies and compartments, creating 500 new jobs.
Safran, an international high-tech aeronautics group, announced that it will begin assembling aircraft engines in Querétaro, the only place outside France where this process will take place. This expansion will generate more than US$74.6 million in investments and create 650 new jobs.
Likewise, in a meeting with executives from ITP Aero, a world leader in the design, development, manufacture and maintenance of aeronautical systems, the expansion of the company was achieved, creating 200 new jobs.
