IMSSA inaugurates new plant in Coahuila

COAHUILA - The companies IMMSA and Samuel inaugurated a new plant in the city of Monclova, Coahuila.

Luis Olivares Martínez, Coahuila's Secretary of Economy, informed that Industrias Metálicas de Monclova invested US$25.8 million in its North Plant, which will generate highly specialized direct jobs and will strengthen the industrial ecosystem of the Central region of the state, boosting local small and medium-sized companies.

Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas highlighted the investment, assuring that new jobs will be generated.

“Today in Monclova we inaugurated the operations of the business alliance between IMMSA and SAMUEL where parts for railroad cars will be manufactured with an investment of US$25.8 million. This means more jobs for our people in the Central-Desert region of Coahuila,” said Jimenez.

According to the governor, Monclova and the Central region have the same conditions as other regions such as the Southeast or La Laguna, so they will continue working to attract more and better investments and diversify their economy.

The businessmen Axel Munch Uecker, general director of IMSSA, and Patrick Coward, vice-president of Samuel Roll Form Group, agreed that Coahuila and Monclova are excellent places for investments.

Also present at the inauguration of this plant were Mario Dávila Delgado, Mayor of Monclova; Carlos Villarreal, Mayor Elect of Monclova; Alfredo Paredes, local congressman; Guadalupe Oyervides, local congresswoman; Sergio Pérez de Luna, Operations Director; Sergio Sisbeles, Undersecretary of Government in the Central Desert Region.
