Bader expands in Jalisco

JALISCO - German automotive company Bader, which supplies clothing to brands such as Audi, Tesla, Toyota, BMW and Volkswagen, announced the expansion of its operations in Jalisco with an investment of US$6 million.

Bader, which already had a presence in the state since 2014, will establish a new 14 thousand m² center in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco.

With this expansion, the company expects to increase its weekly production to 11 thousand vehicles, which represents around 500 thousand vehicles per year and will generate 400 new direct jobs in the state.

Roberto Arechederra, Secretary of Economic Development in Jalisco, highlighted the relevance of this investment, which will not only strengthen regional infrastructure, but also boost local economic growth with the creation of new jobs.

“This expansion of Bader reaffirms the confidence of international companies in the talent and competitiveness of the state,” Arechederra mentioned.

“Beyond infrastructure, we celebrate the impact that this expansion will have on the employment side, with the projected creation of 400 new direct jobs that will boost local economic development and generate new opportunities for the community,” he added.

Germany has consolidated its position as one of the three main investor countries in Jalisco, with a total of US$1.2 billion invested during the current administration.

He added that thanks to the efforts of SEDECO, Jalisco continues to position itself as an attractive destination for international investment.
