INA appoints Gabriel Padilla Maya as new general director
MEXICO - The National Auto Parts Industry (INA) announced the appointment of Gabriel Padilla Maya as its new general manager, a decision that was endorsed by the organization's Operations Committee.
Padilla has more than 25 years of experience in business, foreign trade and investment promotion, both in the public and private sectors.
His background includes strategic roles in exporting companies and management of business organizations.
In the public sector, Padilla worked in institutions such as ProMéxico, where he was head of the Investment Promotion and International Business Unit; and in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) he served as general coordinator of Trade Promotion and Export Promotion.
He was also coordinator of advisors at SAGARPA; general coordinator of advisors at the Ministry of Economy; and federal delegate of the Ministry of Economy in the state of Morelos.
He also founded Trade Front Advisors LLC, a company specialized in internationalization strategies for companies.
INA's new CEO holds a degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana. He holds three master's degrees: in Economics and Government from Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City; in Digital Marketing and E-Commerce from Universidad OBS and Universidad de Barcelona, Spain; and in International Trade from Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Comercio Internacional in Mexico City.
Padilla Maya's experience in foreign trade and international business will be essential to drive INA's innovation, sustainability and competitiveness agenda in an increasingly demanding industrial environment.
