Tamaulipas highlights growth of economic units in Ciudad Victoria
TAMAULIPAS - In the last two years, the number of economic units in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas grew by more than 2,682, according to the Secretary of Economy of the State of Tamaulipas.
Ninfa Cantú Deándar, Secretary of Economy announced that according to information from INEGI's National Statistical Directory of Economic Units, the DENUE, 15,624 economic units operate in the capital, a growth of 2,682 with respect to those that operated in 2022.
“The number of establishments in the city is growing because there is confidence and optimism for entrepreneurs to carry out their projects,” commented Cantú.
He highlighted the recent opening of businesses of different turns at all levels, especially the arrival of new units of large chains such as Aurrera and Farmacias del Ahorro, which last week opened branches in this capital.
The Secretary of Economy said that in terms of industrial investment, seven projects have been identified in the center of the state, representing an investment of US$63 million for the next few years.
In addition, Cantú Deándar announced that according to INEGI's National Occupation and Employment Survey as of the third quarter of 2024, in one year the employed population increased by 29,708, totaling 1,658,004 people.
