Hi-Lex Controls plant inaugurated in Coahuila
COAHUILA - Hi-Lex Controls, a leading manufacturer of window regulators, door modules and mechanical control cables for the automotive industry, opened a new plant in Derramadero, Coahuila.
The Governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, presided over the opening ceremony of the new plant 2 of the aforementioned company and highlighted that the current investments in this industrial zone of the Southeast Region -in addition to Hi-Lex- amount to approximately US$1.9 billion.
“We are starting 2025 with a bang by inaugurating new investment projects! We kicked off the operations of the new HI-LEX Controls plant, which in the medium term will help us generate 500 new jobs for our people," said the state president.
The new plant 2 invested US$15 million and is expected to generate 500 jobs in the medium term.
Jiménez thanked Hi-Lex Controls executives for their continued confidence in the state and emphasized that the government will continue to be an ally of all those who want to work, undertake and invest.
“The best tool we can give our families so they can get ahead is that they have a good job, that they have income,” he said.
Javier Diaz, mayor of Saltillo, highlighted that the new Hi-Lex plant is very significant for the Southeast Region, as it reflects the dynamism and attractiveness of the area for the automotive industry.
“We see how day by day different world-class companies look to Saltillo to set up shop, generate projects and, above all, to be able to continue growing,” he said.
He emphasized that Saltillo has the necessary conditions for this type of investment to continue developing.
