SMEs in Nuevo Leon increase their sales and create new job openings

Thirty SMEs in Nuevo Leon not only professionalized their operations but also succeeded in expanding their market presence and integrating into major value chains.

Through the “Productive Scaling” program, promoted by the State Ministry of Economy, these companies collectively generated more than US$332 million in sales in 2025, representing a 9% increase over the previous year.

The impact also included US$39 million in productive investment, the retention of more than 3,800 jobs, and the creation of 460 new formal positions.
“Strengthening our SMEs is key for Nuevo Leon to continue leading the country’s industrial competitiveness,” said Betsabe Rocha, Secretary of Economy.

The “Productive Scaling” program was supported by leading companies such as Ternium, Cemex, and Xignux, as well as strategic partners including Qualtia, BYDSA, and the Tooling Cluster, who provided technical support, training, and the transfer of best practices to local suppliers.

The implemented model was structured around four pillars: process improvement, management systems, business strategy, and organizational culture, which enabled companies to increase their productivity and align with international standards.

These initiatives allow local SMEs not only to participate but also to compete in increasingly demanding markets.
