AUMOVIO Mexico Celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Its R&D Center

AUMOVIO México is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Research and Development (R&D) center, reinforcing its position as a key player in global automotive innovation. Since launching operations in 2000, the company has built a strong ecosystem focused on advanced mobility solutions and high-value engineering capabilities.

The milestone comes amid a new corporate phase following its strategic separation from Continental AG in 2025. In this context, the company has reaffirmed Mexico as a central pillar in its global strategy, particularly in the development of technologies for autonomous, connected, and user-focused mobility.

Over the past 25 years, AUMOVIO Mexico has delivered high-impact innovations, including wireless vehicle access systems and the industrialization of Head-Up Display (HUD) technology developed in the country. These advancements highlight Mexico’s growing role in generating solutions with global applications.

The company currently operates three R&D centers located in Jalisco and Querétaro, where multidisciplinary teams contribute to international projects in electrification, automotive software, and user experience—key areas shaping the future of mobility.

Mexican talent has been a cornerstone of this growth. The company reports more than 160 patents linked to developments in Mexico and over 2,000 inventions, underscoring its strong innovation capacity and contribution to the global automotive industry.

In addition to technological progress, AUMOVIO Mexico has promoted talent development through leadership and mentorship programs, while also advancing workplace sustainability initiatives, positioning itself as a strategic innovation hub within the global mobility ecosystem.
