Mazda and CONALEP collaborate on a training program

The Irapuato Campus of the National College of Technical and Vocational Education (CONALEP) and the Japanese automaker Mazda signed a partnership agreement to implement the Dual Education Model, with the goal of enabling high school students to complete internships at the automotive plant located in Salamanca.

The agreement stipulates that students can complement their academic training with direct experience in the automotive industry through classroom learning and training in production environments using state-of-the-art tools and processes.

The signing of the agreement took place at the Mazda plant in Salamanca, where company executives and education officials met to align the program’s objectives.

CONALEP Director General Nicolas Bravo explained that the Dual Education Model enables students to develop technical skills at leading companies, where they have access to technology, best practices, and specialized guidance.

Finally, both parties agreed that the agreement lays the foundation for a long-term collaboration aimed at training specialized human capital that meets the needs of the automotive industry and contributes to regional economic development.
