Nuevo León attracts US$167 million in investment

The state of Nuevo León continues to attract investment from the automotive sector with the announcement of a US$167 million investment by DH Autoware, Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda reported at the conclusion of an economic promotion event.

According to the announcement, the investment is from a company specializing in the manufacture of motherboards for Hyundai and Kia vehicles, which are key components in the operation of automotive electronic systems. As a result of this project, 440 new jobs are expected to be created in the state.

The announcement was made during a tour aimed at boosting foreign investment and establishing Nuevo León as a competitive destination within the manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive sector.

During his remarks, García Sepúlveda emphasized the importance of such announcements for the state’s economic standing.

“It is an honor that this tour concludes with these figures, because with this, Nuevo León is undoubtedly number one in everything—there is no doubt about that—but in economic terms, we are far ahead of second place,” he noted.

The governor also emphasized the importance of active promotion in attracting new investment.

“That is the importance of these tours: you have to come and showcase your state—promotion doesn’t happen on its own. So today we’re confirming the positive sentiment toward investing in Nuevo León, and this, of course, helps Mexico,” he added.

The arrival of DH Autoware is part of a trend toward strengthening the automotive supply chain in the region, particularly in the field of electronic components—a segment that has gained greater importance due to the increasing integration of technology into vehicles.
