Valeo unveils decarbonisation plan for 2050

Under the Carbon Reduction Plan 50 (CAP 50), Valeo aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions from 50 million tons to zero by 2050.

Against this backdrop, companies in the sector have begun implementing strategies to reduce their environmental impact and accelerate the transition toward more sustainable operations. For this reason, Valeo has focused its efforts on establishing itself as a carbon-neutral company.

“We have already achieved our 2025 emissions reduction target and are on track to meet our 2030 goal. Every five years, we reassess our global carbon footprint and adjust our targets to ensure we meet the final goal by 2050,” said Zobeida Gutierrez, director of Valeo’s CAP 50 team.

The company has also promoted the use of sustainable materials in its processes, including organic films, recycled packaging, and bio-based materials.

Through these actions, Valeo reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and innovation, aligning its business strategy with global climate goals and contributing to the transformation of the automotive industry toward a more environmentally responsible model.
